Jay Eng is a securities attorney in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar. He focuses his practice on securities litigation and FINRA arbitration. He has advised and represented individuals and public pension funds in securities litigation in Florida state courts and in federal courts. Prior to joining his current firm, Mr. Eng was also a partner in a Florida law firm focusing his practice on the representation of stock brokers and brokerage firms in FINRA arbitration matters.
A Palm Beach County native, Mr. Eng began his legal career as a trial court law clerk at the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit advising circuit court judges in the civil and criminal divisions of the court. Among Mr. Eng’s accomplishments at the court was the reduction of a large backlog of criminal appeals before the circuit court. Thereafter, Mr. Eng served as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Ann Vitunac managing the court’s civil docket. After his federal clerkship, Mr. Eng began practicing at large Florida law firm representing corporate clients in a variety of business and commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Eng is a graduate of Tulane Law School, New Orleans, Louisiana and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, Eleventh Circuit and United States Supreme Court.
